Another one of our goals was to put more emphasis on the cake. This was done with a pinspot to help make it stand out. We love using pin spots for more than just cakes. Majority of clients order pinspots to make centerpieces and other decor look larger than life.

Okay, back to the photo shoot, the room had very ornate orb like candle holders. These were not your common votives, they were circular shaped with an access area on the side. The candle holders really made the room pop since they captured & reflected the beams of light in the space.

They had students on the dance floor enjoy the prom. They said that the biggest complaint they have received in the past, was not enough sound, or that the company played too much wedding reception music. I gotta say, right next to wedding receptions, proms are one of my favorite times of the year. Something about rocking of crowd of 1000+ has a warm fuzzy feeling to it. Encore Party DJs did the DJing and photo booth for Milford’s High School Prom. They held the high school dance at Petruzello’s of Troy. It was really cool, because Sam (one of our talents) graduated from MHS. He got the chance to prove himself in-front of his alma mater. Our mixes were dead-on, songs transitioned nicely between sets, and photo booth stayed busy. We honestly got too many great photos from the night. Katie had her Masquerade Themed Sweet 16 at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing. Encore Party DJs also brought out lighting design for the room and the photo booth. Guests had a blast taking photos… if they weren’t in the booth, then they were on the dance floor. This party was almost like we were doing a high school dance. The energy level was high and the guests we’re enjoying it! We ended the Sweet 16, the best way we could with everybody in a circle! We’ve done a lot of wedding receptions in the area, but this time Encore Party DJs was invited to the Pi Beta Phi formal in Lansing MI. For those of you who have never been to a fraternal event, there are plenty of speeches, awards, and gags. There were several hundred greeks in the room, and all they wanted to do after the dinner was party. We took requests from the guests and kept them dancing until the contract was up. Encore Party DJs donated their lighting design, entertainment, and photo booth services for the Wounded Warrior Project Gala in Grand Rapids. Jennifer of Bella Joy Wedding Planning was the mastermind behind this event. We get the opportunity to work with her team at a handful of receptions throughout the year. This was a great event, for an even better cause. For those of you that don’t know, the wounded warrior project is a non-profit organization provides programs and services to severely injured service members during the time between active duty and civilian. Tech Smith had their annual birthday bash @ the University Club in Lansing. This was an amazing event pulled off by Kim of Posh Events. She most coordinates corporate functions compared to most planners that specialize in wedding receptions. Encore was brought in to help with the photo booth and lighting design. Since this venue has 2 levels, we did the lighting both upstairs and downstairs. The guests tend to get a little crazy in the photo booth, but hey it happens!
