Redford Corporate Event

Morrison Dinning Services is a national company, they held their party which was called the Redford corporate event. This Michigan company is known for their niche in  healthcare and senior living. This was a regional event geared towards their staff and upper management. It was a themed casual get together. Weddings differ, because they are a once in a lifetime affair. This is an event, that is planned on a more consistent basis.

It felt great to be a part of their annual employee party. This was a small gathering with only senior employees. Since they are a food service company, they catered the event themselves. I really enjoyed the fact that they offered a sushi bar along with pasta station. I am a huge fan of sushi. This is great for appetizers before the main course. It was a nice touch for a simple event. The guests kept the staff busy as they freshly prepared the meals on the spot.

This year, they went with a Motown Theme. Our client made sure to get a special designed Motown backdrop. It had some famous bands of the times to help accent the theme. I know in one of the backdrops it was the signers from The Supreme’s. It was great for guest to take their photos right in front of the backdrop.

My personal favorite part of night was when guests started requesting songs for our DJ. We didn’t receive a lot of requests because of the format of the event. One of the employees request Diana Ross. In addition to playing the song, she personally got up on stage and started to sing along with the lyrics. Everyone got a kick out of her doing a karaoke version of ‘Stop in the Name of Love’.
