Royal Oak

So recently we did a wedding in Royal Oak Michigan. This reception rocked, Miranda and Dick had California rolls for part of the hor dourves. To all brides considering California rolls or a sushi bar, they are finger food approved in our book!

Word of warning parking in this city on a Saturday night is a PITA. I was a light jog away from Delmatos where the reception was taking place. I guess that there was this huge concert on the same block (for some band I never even heard of, but 2,000 people showed up), so parking was pretty much non-existent.

We did some pretty cool things for Miranda and Dicks wedding and ceremony. They got our going to the chapel package which provides your officiate with wireless technology so that everyone can hear you exchange your vows. Since we were also playing music for the ceremony, they choose Jet Are You Gonna Be My Girl for the recessional…. How cool is that?!

We set up a couple of accent lights that worked well with the atrium at Delmato’s. Just to let you know, Delmato’s is a Jazz & Martini Bar affiliated with Goodnight Gracie’s. Basically the evening was contemporary jazz and they had some really good throw back songs requested. When it got closer to the end everybody was on our tiny little dance floor 2 stepping and dancing to Flo Rider, good thing the firemarshall wasn’t around!
