1.) What makes you different from other event companies out there?
We are a full-time DJ company in Michigan that pays close attention to your event details. The Florida Academy of Mobile Entertainers has certified us in DJ entertainment. Encore is invited to hundreds of parties every year. This includes elegant wedding receptions, dynamic corporate events, and perfect proms. We have years of experience with unique wedding receptions, and every weekend we face another challenge, “To deliver a personalized event”.
Our style is based on your expectations, and we will easily coordinate your event with the client login. We work with other vendors so that they do an excellent job for you. Our DJs manage the announcements and music so that it is presented at the right time and volume. 2.) Are you licensed and insured?
Any company you consider for your event should be both licensed and insured. Our event service is covered under a $1,000,000.00 insurance policy. This policy is important for protecting both parties involved in signing the contract. Majority of facilities are requiring wedding professionals to provide documentation of insurance. Make sure you ask the company you interview for a copy of valid certificate of insurance.
3.) Do you use professional equipment?
We invest regularly into equipment to ensure our gear will be at 110% for your event. We won’t sit here and talk about how loud our speakers are. However, we will discuss ways our service can add value to your party. To answer your question, every system is outfitted with crystal clear microphones, audio technology, computer controlled LED fixtures, handcrafted photo booths, & backup equipment.
Did I mention that our LED fixtures are good for the environment?
4.) What will be your attire for my event?
We wear a company uniform that consists of black suit, platinum colored tie, and company name tag. For informal events, we wear a black company polo. If you are planning a themed event, we can accommodate any style if requested in advance.
5.) Will you take requests for my party?
Of course! This is one of the most important things an entertainer can do to establish rapport with your guests. When you book our service we give you a password. This allows you to drag and drop songs online as ‘Must Play’ and ‘Do Not Play’.You create the ultimate request list for your event. We will guarantee to have any song you want before your event. We only require that it is commercially available in print in the U.S.
If requested, you are also given (1) Pick n Play cards per couple after you book with us. These are great for sending out with your invites. They have a password on the back that instruct your guests how to request songs online months before your party. We also take request from your guests throughout the evening.
Bottom line, we play the right music, at the right time, at the right volume.
6.) When do you arrive to setup?
We always arrive at least 1 hour prior to start time (as stated on the contract), so your guests don’t see us setting up, and your DJ can run through all their sound checks. We will run through the itinerary with other professionals present, so that everyone is well informed.
If you have Lighting Design we may show up as early as 3 1/2 hours to program the fixtures and inspect visual cues.
7.) What are your prices?
Pricing for a standard DJ package starts at $165 per/hr. This magic number becomes smaller as you bundle on wall lighting and photo booths. 8.) Can I come and watch you perform at your next event?
If the event is a private affair, then unfortunately you can not come to watch us perform. We focus all our attention on the client booked for the day and not the next one that we are going to book. You would not want to have a complete stranger come uninvited to your special celebration, so expect the same consideration for the clients we book. Instead, we would like you to check around with our references galore. We want you to get to know us better before you make a decision. Entertainment can make or break your event, so be confident with company you decide on.
9.) How far are your willing to travel?
We are based in Riverview Michigan, which is 20 minutes south of Detroit. However, Encore Party DJs has done parties over the entire State of Michigan. We have gone as far west as downtown Saugatuck and as far north as beautiful Mackinac Island. Our services have even been requested internationally.
