Best Howell Prom

On the flip side to wedding reception DJs, Howell Prom knew exactly what to expect from Encore.  Not only does it require the right style and equipment, but you also gotta have the right music. For example when ever you go above 300 guests, the event requires sound reinforcement. You have to think, that all those bodies on the dance floor absorb the sound. In order to make sure that everyone will be able to hear the toasts, additional speakers are necessary.

Our team headed out to Crystal Gardens in Howell to provide DJs for Walled Lake Northern’s Prom. All I can say is… WOW! I appreciated the attention to detail put forth by the planning committee. They even custom designed invitations to sell along with their ticket sales. One of the most important elements of a successful prom is fundraising. The more tickets you sell, the more money the senior class raises.

The school had the larger room reserved, they had over 500 students show up for the actual prom. The event first started with appetizers, then the meal. It was served by the staff on time as we played light music in the background. This is the perfect time to play those songs that everyone loves but can’t dance to. Since we had the Pick N Play on their package, we were able to get a good variety of songs from all the students months before hand.

For this prom we flew in DJ Yip from Arizona to help out. It was only a matter of time before students were getting anxious, and the dance floor was opened. The live mixing kept the dance floor packed with over 500 students. Our sound system was the perfect size for this crowd. We even had some light pillars included with their package to give the students an experience like none other. Lighting can make a huge impact on the event. It splashes just the right amount of sophistication into the audience.
